In Tokyo, the price of import shrimp from Asean nations in Tsukiji seafood market in December is 12% lower in relation to the price at the same time last year. 

Japan has been obtaining the leading position in fisheries commercial because of the increase in value of Yen. The price of shrimp, abalone and sea urchin in Japan has decreased while the price of Huynh De crab, Salmon spawn and Herring spawn has still very high.

Last years, Japan has lost their position in seafood market in the world because the buying power in many other big markets such as America and Europe has risen sharply.

The price of some special seafood commodities for the consumption in the end of year and the new year occasion have been reducing clearly because of the changes in source of supply and the increase in price of  Japanese Yen. The price of many import seafood such as shrimp, octopus or abalone are lower in relation to one year ago, so the common consumers can also buy these commodities.

In Tokyo, the price of import shrimp from ASEAN nations in Tsukiji seafood market in December has decreased 12% in relation to the same time last year. For octopus, the exploiting output in the coastal West Africa nations has restored. The importing octopus will reach the highest output since next year but this price has reduced a little at the present.

The importing raw abalone from Korea to Japan has increased sharply and their price has only decreased half over the price of domestic abalone. On the contrary, the price of Huynh De crab is still high, this is due to the fact that the import from Russia has decreased. The price of Salmon prawn is similar because the export outputs in Japan and America have reduced.
